An engraved racket takes a different path through the studio than a plain one. You choose the placements on the personalisation page and buy them together with the racket. After checkout a mock-up follows by email — your words, set in position and at size. Nothing is engraved until you confirm it. The frame then goes under the laser, one piece at a time, and the work adds two working days before dispatch. Placements start at $60. The two-year warranty is unaffected. An engraved racket cannot be returned.
That is the whole sequence. What follows is what happens inside it.
Two Ways In.
The first is the studio on the personalisation page. A name, initials, a date, a short phrase — up to fifteen characters, in Latin letters, numerals and simple punctuation. Tick the placements, type the words, add the racket to the cart. The engraving is paid for at checkout with everything else, and the order arrives with us already specified.
The second begins with a description rather than a form. Artwork, a logo, a full livery: you write what you have in mind through the enquiry on the same page, and we answer within one business day with a mock-up. Work starts only once you approve it, and the date is confirmed together with the drawing — a livery is not two days' work.
The Mock-up Is the Gate.
Engraving is permanent, so the point of no return sits before the machine rather than after it. The mock-up shows the lettering where it will actually sit: the proportion, the placement on your model, the way a long surname behaves in a space built for eight characters. Most of the conversation happens here — a word shortened, a date written differently, a line moved from the wing to the crown.
It is also the last moment at which anything can change. Once the laser has run, the mark is in the surface.
Where the Mark Sits.
Four placements, and they combine.
| Placement | Where it sits | Characters | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Crown | Along the top of the frame | Up to 15 | $60 |
| The Signature | Across the upper face | Up to 15 | $90 |
| The Wing, left | On the lower face | Up to 8 | $60 |
| The Wing, right | On the lower face | Up to 8 | $60 |
Fifteen characters is the limit across the crown and the signature; each wing holds eight. The lettering is the one we use on our own frames, which is why an engraved racket reads as part of the design rather than as something added to it.
Laser, Not Print.
The mark is made in the surface of the frame, not laid on top of it. Nothing is stuck on, so there is no edge to lift after a season of covers and car boots. It also means the engraving does not touch the structure of the racket: the two-year warranty applies in full, engraved or not.
On the glossy black face above, the lettering reads close to silver. On a matte frame like Bel Air Green it comes up only a shade lighter than the paint around it. The finish decides how loud the same word looks, which is worth knowing before choosing where to put it.
What It Costs in Time.
Two working days on top of the one to two we take to prepare any order. Delivery itself is unchanged: tracked, complimentary, duties paid, seven to twenty days in transit depending on where you are. The detail is on the delivery page.
If the racket is a gift, count backwards from the date rather than forwards from today.
One Racket at a Time.
Nothing here runs in batches. A frame is fixed, aligned, engraved, checked and packed as a single piece of work, and then the next one begins. It is the slowest part of what we do and the part we would least like to speed up.
The case for engraving in the first place is in Engraved Padel Rackets. The same work at volume, for teams and companies, is set out in Corporate Padel Gifts. The rest of the range sits in the collection.
Questions, Answered.
How much does it cost to engrave a padel racket?
At Eterna, The Crown along the top of the frame is $60, each Wing on the lower face is $60, and The Signature across the upper face is $90. Placements can be combined, and the total shows as you tick them.
How long does engraving add to an order?
Two working days before dispatch for text engravings. Atelier commissions — artwork, a logo, a full livery — depend on the work, and the date is confirmed together with your mock-up.
Can I have artwork or a logo engraved?
Yes. Describe the idea through the enquiry on the personalisation page and we reply within one business day with a mock-up. Nothing is engraved until you approve it.
Does engraving affect the racket or its warranty?
No. The engraving is made in the surface of the frame and does not touch the structure of the racket. The two-year warranty applies in full.
Can an engraved racket be returned?
No. Engraving is permanent and cannot be removed, so a personalised racket cannot be returned or refunded. Every engraving is confirmed with you by mock-up before the laser runs. If a racket arrives flawed, the two-year warranty applies as usual.
